Mode of action of Nufeed. (Active at all parts of GIT).
1 ) Binding.
-Zeolite(honeycomb structure) Carries a net negative charge attracts positively charged ions.
So binds the mycotoxins in contaminated feed without dissociating in the Gut of birds forming toxin-adsorbing complex.
2 ) Decrease bioavailability.
-This linkage is strong and will resist variations of temperature and pH in the gut.
Decrease mycotoxins bioavailability which leads to a reduction of mycotoxin uptake as well as distribution to the blood and target organs.
3 ) Excretion.
-Toxin-adsorbing complex passes through the poultry and is eliminated unchanged via the feces.
